hi new to here i have been denied contact with my daughter for nearly 4 years by her dad and step mum i despite there being a court order in place i have written letters asking for updated information photographs school reports and contact i have never once received a reply now admittedly so yes i had my issues back then i suffered with my mental health wasn't coping has post natal depression from when my daughter was born which spiraled out of control i turned to drugs of a way of coping and took an over dose when my children went to live with their dads i have regular contact with my son i always have done i have recently been into court as my daughters dad has now separated from his wife and his wife now wants parental responibility order over my daughter so i applied for a contact order and i have now discovered that my daughters dad is back on drugs this last year and his ex wife left our daughter in the care of her elder child who was intoxicated and social services were informed but i was never notified of any of this i moved away and have changed my life around i have been drug free for since i moved to Scotland and met my current partner who i have been in a stable relationship with for nearly 4 years the judge has ordered a section 7 report to be carried out on my child the step mum and her dad and only asked me to provide a letter from my doctor for the next hearing but whist in court the judge asked me if i wanted to go for a residency order which i could only reply to with at this time i have not considered that option as contact is what i was here to seek the the step mum steps up stating she wants the residency removed from the dad and she wants residency herself the judge stated that is not what she had applied for and asked did she even know what she wanted this is a complete mind field has anyone else ever came across this before my head is in a spin right now
