I was living in Essex with my partner and our child. When we split he refused to move out of flat (privately rented- I was meant to have the flat but he refused and the landlords ended up putting the flat into his name).
I had to move to the Isle of Wight and move in with my parents so that myself and my lg had somewhere to live.
I am desperate to move back to the mainland! I can't private rent anymore because my ex has ruined my credit score (got loans, credit cards and finance in my name and didn't pay it).
I checked the council of where we used to live and the guidelines have changed that you have to have been living there for 6 years when it used to be 2 (I had lived there for 2 years so thought I could go back)
I've now been on the island for a year so I'm really stuck.
Has anyone else been through anything like this? Any advice on how to get back to the mainland? I'm desperate to get back as soon as possible. Any advice would be great!
