This might be narrowing things down just a little bit I'm just interested in hearing opinions from a) single mums of b) multiple kids close in age. Do they constantly battle for your attention or try and get each other into trouble, plus fighting and bickering. How do you deal with the constant jealousy and trying to be fair? Any tips/techniques welcome.

Hi
Yes I have a problem with this, it can be so difficult!! They are 5 and nearly 7 at present. They constantly fight for my attention, bicker and argue like you say. Its a nightmare!!! I am not really sure how it can be addressed. I try to be as equal as possible with them. If you can try to have some time with each one separately, if you can to do something nice though I know this isnt always possible. I must admit I rely quite a bit on the older one -encouraging her to take responsibility by ignoring the younger one when he is trying to pick a fight. This can work sometimes. I find the younger one isn't able to do that yet. Well am I am just hoping it gets better with age - but I think that it wishful thinking!!! I am also interested for any tips to help with this!
