Hello there!

I will soon be a predoc at a London university, which is why I am planning to move to the UK from abroad at the beginning of August. Since it seems to be almost impossible to find a 1 bedroom apartment of a decent size in an acceptable commute range to the city centre which fits my budget, I was thinking about sharing a flat (this would be my almost seven-year-old and I). However, I am not quite sure how to do that, because as far as I have seen, rooms are usually rented out separately and there is usually no option to tick a "child-friendly" box when looking for flat and house shares online...

Do any of you now of such initiatives in London? Do you have any tips where I should start looking?

I've looked into this recently. I put an add on spare room explaining my circumstances and got a lot of promising replies. Might be a good option. Good luck!
