i dont live with my bf, he was up early trying to get them to make me breakfast in bed

ds1 did go and buy me some plants from a lady down the road this afternoon

dd2 and ds1 are trying to clean the kitchen for me now while ds2 is playing soldiers and dd1 hides in her room

Hope everyone has had a nice day!

I was woken at 6 am by dd2 trying to make me open presents and dd1 trying to make me eat breakfast in bed.Felt awful that I was so ungrateful am not a morning person!

My Mam had taken them shopping for chocs for me and dd2 made me a piggy bank!

Nappyaddict, mine did it all on their own. they dont really see their dad much at the moment and I dont speak to my mum. I would love to have a good relationship with a mother but not mine! My dad has just been diagnosed with cancer so dont think he woudl remember but it is not like blokes to remember anyway.

nappyaddict · 18/03/2007 18:43

oh what did they do for you? how old are they?

Janos · 18/03/2007 19:49

Aw, glad you all had a lovely mothers day!

DS planted a sunflower for me but unfortunately ate most of the soil and I think the seed when I wasn't looking.

And my lovely friend sent me a card in case DS 'forgot' - not a cat in hells chance of XP getting me anything, LOL.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I have spent all week with my mindees preparing gifts for their Mum's so I made my own gift from my ds!! I was a little disappointed that he didn't make a card at school though.

He very lovingly drew me a picture of a monkey swinging on a tree this afternoon!!!!

HI Happy mother's day everyone.

My dd came in with a card made at school, which was very pretty, and then she got intno bed with me and we had a real laze for about an hour.

I got a play food breakfast and pretend cuppa- she's only 4! She said 'sorry I cant make you a real one mummy'-- i almost cried!

We went out for some lunch, then to the cinema. She bought me a teddy in the newsagents!! I will treasure it forever.

Hardly thought of dh, we had a great time.

i'm glad its not only my parents and ex's that didn't think to get anything too then. although for those thats parents didn't it seems its cos they are ill, too far away or no longer with us. mine just didn't think. don't suppose it's really their job too though. it's such a hard day for single mums i think.

mogs0 · 19/03/2007 18:55

Both my 2 sisters and Mum thought one of the others would do a card but ended up no one did. Sometimes I feel very sorry for myself then the rest of the time I put a smile on my face and just get on with things!!!

I almost bought myself a card in the village shop, but decided that was too sad. So I bought myself a ton of chocolate instead!

Lovely day!!
