Feel like the worlds worst parent today

I woke up with a migraine
Explained to the dcs (12 & 7)
Made them breakfast
Came back to bed and have been here ever since

I feel awful, they've loved being on the Xbox all day without me nagging or turning it off
But I feel terrible about it
Imagine if their teacher asks what they did

If they're safe and have food and water available, you're doing fine. More than fine.

I don't think their teacher would care. Hope you feel better soon.

Don't sweat it, you're not well, x box day perfectly reasonable under the circumstances, plus dcs have enjoyed it

Don't worry about it! I'm not a lone parent and we often have PlayStation/TV days at the weekend, honestly one day will do them no harm.

If you can spare the cash just order pizza delivery for dinner too.

I wanted to clean today, but that's not going to happen, I'll have to make do with the ironing

Don't fret. This is only one day in your lives and it sounds like you're a conscientious caring mum.

It's good for kids to just hang out, occasionally, and if they haven't had a screaming argument, then you've brought them up well!
