Im getting fed up of being a single parent! My mum used to spend a lot of time here with me so i was ok but recently she got a dog and it doesnt like my dog too much so she stays at home now!

I feel so sad wanting my mum to come and stay with me all the time!!

I know there are so many others like me out there...guess ive gotta bear with it until it all gets better!

I have moved my clothes around from drawer to drawer this evening just for something to do..sad eh

Have you thought about doing a college course to meet knew people and gain a qualification, or mother and baby groups? or swimming? surestart?

My ds is 6 so mother a baby groups are out . I do take him places in the day but as soon as he goes to bed at 8pm im really bored!!

I find myself going through the numbers on my phone looking for someone to call!

astonished see if you have a Gingerbread group in your area, they will help you get in touch with other single parents.

what about joining a local book club? You meet new people and it makes you read a book you wouldn't normally choose.

lol, that's the sort of thing I end up doing. Or wasting hours on mn.

I've just started a typing job, which I can do when DS is in bed. It's not thrilling but gives me something to do. I'm looking at doing an online course too, again, mainly for something to do.
