i'd advise waiting a bit at the moment before u switch. Some of the major companies have announced a price cut, and the others will guaranteed to drop their prices soon too. I recommend checking the moneysavingexpert site as he posts to let consumers know when is a good time to switch. Then if you use one of the online switching facilities you will get the best deal in your area and possibly an incentive for switching. i used energyhelpline.com to switch to Atlantic last year, saved oney on my bills and got 15 quid too.
