No father figure

How do I help my DS as he is being picked on at school for not having a dad ☹️. I feel useless and totally responsible that he has suffer and I can't forgive myself for it 😢

How old is he? My DS deals with it by treating it as a joke..He makes the jokes self defense.

He is 6 and really sensitive. He is never met his dad as he walked out when I was pregnant with him and I have been single ever since I was was pregnant with him .I don't know what to tell him 😢

I'm sure there are better ways to deal than this but I'd be tempted to role play some snappy one liners with him... Along the mature lines of "Nyer nyer, you havent got a Dad!" "Yeah well you haven't got a brain!"

Giving him a come back and helping him seem not bothered might help the bullying stop?!
