one of which is not mine!

i booked a weekend away at the end of March for me, my daughter, her friend and my partner, now my xp, so do i take the 2 girls and just get on with it or do i cancel?

i don't think it will be fair to cancel as it is for my dd birthday present, but a little daunted by what i'm going to do with them for 3 days, skint, when its probably going to be cold, 13 weeks pg and bloody alone?

any idea's?

i have taken my kids on holiday alone so many times! just enjoy it! no preaparing meals, kids excited, just a new town keep sthem happy!!also your daughter is entertained as she has her friend, so take a book and magazines and enjoy!

I only did it for the first time last year, followed by the second time and we are going twice this year too (only cheap Sun deals but hey its a holiday!)
Eat out, take loads of magazines and relax while the kids play!

Where are you going?

How old are the girls? There's bound to be plenty of indoor things to do & even free stuff can be fun.

I'd go anyway, although can see where you're coming from.

I am going on holiday for two weeks with mine this year for the first time on my own and really looking forward to it. I am going somewhere with plenty to do so I cna have a relaxing time as well!

It sounds like you have a lot on your plate and I would find out about the area first and what is on offer around the place whihc is free/cheap to do with the kids.

Go for it, what have you got to lose? I have a dd and went on holiday just me and her last year, had a fab time but reckon would've been even better if she'd had a friend with her...

brandy7 · 09/03/2007 22:29

go and enjoy, will be scarey but youll be fine when youre all settled in. if monies a problem, could you ask relatives to give your daughter some spending money. presume the friends parents will give her spending money

TenaLady · 09/03/2007 22:30

oh you will have a smashing time with the kids. No partners grumping in the corner cos they havent got your full attention.

They wont forget the experience and all the attention.
