I'm not single but when I turned 40 I had 2 very young DCs and took up the offer of an overnight of babysitting by my dad so we could go to a hotel and get a good nights sleep Grin

I'm 40 tomorrow, and currently trying not to freak out about it! I'm going out for Afternoon Tea with my best friends and then a family meal at night. I'm a single parent but do have a bf and he's taking me away for the night on a mystery break. It's a rubbish time of year to have a birthday but to be honest I'm doing lots over the whole year to celebrate along with several of my fellow 77ers. Hope you enjoy whatever you get up to OP Smile

My Birthday is in the middle of the summer ..My DS was a toddler when I turned 40 so had my friends over with their kids in the day and at cake, no alchohol. just chatted and had a nice day.. He was a really bad sleeper so no plans of even going to bed late.
