Has anyone had this problem??

My seven year old daughter is due to spend half term with her Dad. Initially she told him that she would go to Portugal with him. She recently told him that she did not want to go abroad as it was too far away from me. Yesterday she telephoned him to say that she wanted to spend half the holiday with him and half with me. He obviously was disappointed and tried to convince her to spend the whole week with him. Now she wont speak to him at all and doesn't want him to pick her up from school on Friday.
In addition to this our new contact routine states that most weeks she is to spend Mon and Tues nights at his house. She's done this once but this week took Mon and Tues off school as she was 'sick' - not sure if this was just because she didn't want to stay with her Dad.

Should I make her go? What should I do?

i dont think a court would tell you off for forcing your dd to go but perhaps try and encourage and if possible get someone to witness it so if you ex takes you back to court you have evidence. il be going through this shortly and my ds only being 2 i sense the same thing will happen. after perusing all the parenting forums, they suggest after encouraging the child to go to actually get dad to come to collect the child and video the departure, with you saying "off you go you'll have a lovely time" obviously if her response is bad then you cant be blamed and you have evidence to prove it. seems a sick thing to do but some dads constantly haul you through court like mine to get what "they" want and really its not what always what the child wants

It sounds like she's worrying about you. Reassure her that you won't be lonely, sad etc that you have things planned.
