my sons love football and are desperate to see a live match. we cant afford sky sports and matches are shown in pubs anyway. If match is on in evening-can i take boys age 11 and 9 in there? how do i find out where i can take kids to see live football match?

and when i take them isit ok for me to have a half pint when alone with them?

I would telephone the pub and see if they mind, if the boys are not too fussed aboutthe team how about a live match at your local teams ground, low league clubs often have cheap tickets for school kids or promotions where kids go free

I took mychildren to see Northampton Town FC on saturday it was free for them to get in as they are under 7 and okay so they are not a Premier league club but the kids loved it. Do you have any local teams?

i will try both suggestions, but my sons want to see liverpool vs barcelona which will be televised! i dont have skysports and none of my friends do either-and my family are a waste of space! if we were abroad we could go into any pub-but in this country we are not family friendly

do some hotels show it in the bar area? Just wondering if they would be more child friendly than a pub.

where abouts are you?

Amazinwoman If I'm honest having worked in pubs during football matches I wouldn't say its a great environmant to take kids particulalry of an evening.

if it's a day time match it may be easier to go to a pub than an evenning one although the view ofscreen is often not good and there is likelihood ogf beer going over you and bad language is the liverpool match not itv 4

gothicmama · 30/01/2007 22:16

1st leg no on itv but second leg will be on itv4 if that is any help to you ithink chelsea game will be itv1
