Hi

Ex has said I can have DD every other Friday night and no contact in between. I obviously want her to stay with me more often and be able to talk on phone at set times in between.

What are my next steps?

How old is your DD? What schedule were you hoping for?
I would put together an emailing detailing the schedule you hope for and how it would benefit your DD, for example very young little and often is good. If you are not seeing DD much currently looking at gradually increasing to overnight etc.
If that fails mediation would be the next step.

As lonecat says but I would bear in mind that phone contact is often difficult especially when the other parent is hostile to contact. Young children don't usually want to talk on the phone. You can ask for it, of course, just don't be surprised if it doesn't work out.
