Housing benefit

Does anyone mind sharing with me their income and whether they receive any amount of housing benefit towards their rent? I'm unsure whether I'm going to be eligible when I graduate soon. I'll be working part time earning 13500 per month. I have one dc.

I input all my details into the entitled to calculator and it says I'll be entitled to approx £30 per week in housing benefit.

I know the calculations for housing benefit are very complicated but would anyone mind sharing with me your income and whether you receive any?

Thanks Flowers

Can you give your total again because I think it's a typo. Or you'll definitely not be entitled Wink

Or is it 135 quid a month? I would be surprised if you were only entitled to 30 quid in that case.

Ah it might be right then.

Housing benefit also takes into account any top up tax credits too. So will depend on hours worked as well as wages and obviously how much your rent is.

Sounds about right. I was bringing in approx 1000 gross a month and received £70 ish a month depending on childcare.
