Hand over tears

Do you ever get over the upsetting hand over to other parent,my Dd aged 3 gets very upset when she has to go with her dad,I'm pretty sure she's fine once there photos,phone calls shows all well,it's just the hand over breaks my heart

My DS used to do this..( hasn't seen his Dad for years though)

He also did it everyday at nursery till he started school however once I was out of sight he stopped crying.

Someone said to me it was about him leaving me and not where he was going.. He had a lovely time at nursery. I found it improved once my mindset was that he was going to be fine once I left it was better.

It is horrible though
