Flat/house-share with other single parents in London

I am due to have my first baby in November and planning on moving to London by end of August at the latest (could move earlier). I would like to share a house or a flat with other single parent/s. I have a healthy budget and I am flexible regarding the location. I would even consider having and sharing an au-pair if that was agreeable.
I'm opened to different options.
Let me know if this is of interest

Hi,

I am due to give birth in September 2015. At the moment, I am trying to look at alternative options regarding accommodation. I really like the sound of a single parent house share. I am currently sharing with two single professionals. which is cool. But I really need to start looking for alternative accommodation soon. I too am flexible about area. I would be grateful if you could keep me updated on anything you find, and I will do the same.

Thank you

Tan

Hi Flower177 and Tan, I'm a new, single mum to a 3-month LO, currently living in Kingston upon Thames. I love my flat, but it's not big enough for a growing baby and my landlady, who has cancer, lives downstairs, so it's not really an ideal situation. Looking into moving to a new place within the next few months, in or around the same area, i.e. SW London/Surrey (preferably Kingston) and possibly house-sharing. I find this is an ideal location, with excellent transport links to central London but still far away that it feels like countryside, with plenty of green spaces (e.g. Kew & Richmond Park), family friendly, with great childcare and schools. Properties around here are very nice too. Plus, I can offer you some of my (very new) motherly experience for when your babies come! If you're interested, please get in touch and let's have a chat.

Hey guys, I'm moving to London in September and due to give birth in December. I'm a single parent, will be a student at regents university but would love to do a house share, message me if any of you want too.

Hello All
Thank you for your replies. I will be in London over this bank holiday weekend and it would be good to meet.
I do like Kingston and surounding areas.
Anyone free to meet for a chat?

Hi Flower, I'm also around during the long weekend. Which day would be good for you and where would you like to meet? Tan and Newmummy3000, are you also available?

Flower177 · 20/05/2015 22:07

I could meet Sunday afternoon. How about meeting at Waterloo station?

Hello single mothers,

Im Slovenian and I have just moved to UK, two days ago. Im renting a room untill the end of August, for after that I need to find a room in a flat share in London. Im 40y old, December 1st, my baby is a girl and she is 3y old.

We are like normal single parent family...We are going out, if possible every day to playground, at the evening we read books or sing, somewhere in between we also watch cartoons (but not more than 1,5 hours - a rule, broken just in special circumstances)...:)

I have bachelor degree in tourism, I will search for work in shops, airport,..

I would prefer living in the area where is not so much airplane noise, where is low crime and where are good schools/nurseries.

If you are a single mother, age around mine and with baby age around my daughters, email me for all the questions - if you have interest in flatsharing with me. Thank you and wish you a nice day all you single parents out there!

Good afternoon!

I am now looking at maybe house sharing with other single mothers in the areas of Barns, Roehampton, Putney or Southfields, SW13/15/19. However ... If need be I'm willing to move further afield.

Life is getting harder and I need a new plan!

Our little, but amazing family compromises of; my 8 year old daughter who is at school in Southfields. My baby boy Alfie … who is a Pug and Myself, full time working mum. (but not weekends!)

Please let me know if anyone has anything available to move in to within the next 2/3 months, I'd rather not deal with estate agents as I don't want to pay the ridiculous high fees that they charge.

Gracias!!! ????

I'd be really interested in a house share with similar people. I'm 27 and work full time in Westminster and would be flexible regarding locations.
