I've found a few similar posts but most seem to be out of date. I am looking to move to London in the summer (July, when my son finishes his current school term). His father and I are parting ways and my work is in the city.
I was hoping that childcare and rental budgets might go a little farther if I could find another single mum with which to share - plus it might make things a little better for my son as he gets used to the idea of not having dad around quite as much.
I'm 33 and my son is five. I work as a Management Consultant. Ideally I am looking for somewhere that keeps my commute to under an hour - so far I've explored Wimbledon/Putney/Streatham, and up to Queen's Park in the North. Happy to explore other options too. Move date could be a little earlier than July for me (I currently commute in from the South Coast) if need be.
Hopefully there's someone out there with a similar need!!
