First pay of new job and I was bloody chuffed with myself (after a very difficult year) so decided that finally, since dd is now 1 and i'm a different size, I would get myself new bras and matching knickers as a treat just for me. I ordered them online but alas when one set arrived the bra didn't fit (I'd been remeasured in the high street shop that I bought online from and was told this was my size
)
So off I go to with dd on my day off to return them and get asked the usual garb by the sales assistant "did your order arrive ok, whats the reason for return?" All going fine until said sales assistant says "well if your wonderful man decides to buy-" That's as far as she got. I (politely but rather bluntly) said "I haven't got a wonderful man." Said sales assistant goes rather quiet and says "oh." The rest of the exchange was spent rather embarrassed with sales assistant, her colleague and the others in the queue trying to look away.
I know i'm making mountains out of molehills but I felt pretty embarrassed and slightly confused that buying matching bras and pants is something only couples do? Are singles parents not allowed to be matching?!
