Legal aid for DV

Can you get legal aid for contact cases if the victim of DV is the child rather than the ex?

I don't know the answer but I would think it would be classified as child abuse rather than domestic violence . I would speak to the services involved already

Yeah its a question for a friend so its all noted on police and social services files. Its more a case IF other party decides to pursue contact in the future. I definitely think it should be available in cases like this but I'm not sure of the answer either. Thanks

Maybe post in legal..There may be more people who know there?

There's a two year time limit from the abuse there needs to be something on record ie police or gp.
