I am pleased Xp has gone, ecstatic even, but I hate living on my own. I know I have the kids here, but once they are in bed I just feel so bored and lonely.

Am just feeling very alone and grumpy today

He has gone (hooray!) ? I missed that.

Jut remember how miserable and cross he made you and be thankful for the peace and quiet !

NOMurDErousPLUME · 10/10/2006 10:48

BTW, how's college going ?

SherlockLGJ · 10/10/2006 10:48

Why aren't you at college ??/

Give yourself a chance FGS.

This is exactly why you took him back the last time, it is going to be a hard ride, so knuckle down and get on with it.

Sorry Nutty, harsh words, but necessacary.

nutcracker · 10/10/2006 10:49

Yep he has gone

Am not at college anymore, there is a thread somewhere, just couldn't cope with that and everything else going on.

Ds seems to be getting very upset by all the goings no and is really confused.

OP posts:
NOMurDErousPLUME · 10/10/2006 10:57

Ideas.... get a lodger so you can talk to them.
Be busier, paint some rooms, write a book, find an evening job you can do at the PC.
Get a boy friend (may be a bit soon for that one)

fairyfly · 10/10/2006 14:40

here

nutcracker · 14/10/2006 21:36

Oh, thankyou FF, have ordered it

Am in my fed up, bored and lonely mood again today.
Everyone is busy sorting out half term plans etc and I have absolutly nothing at all planned AGAIN.

OP posts:
Judy1234 · 15/10/2006 09:07

Sometimes overplanning every spare minute isn't good for children. I'm working half term week and with the children because their father doesn't have them (except 2 hours a week and then only 2 of the 5), got to leave at 5.30am and 5.15am on two of the days, get back about 9. Oh dear. I'm not looking forward to half term week at all. It's arranging child care from 6am to 9am or after 6 which is hardest except hopefully my older daughter might be around.

I think this being on your own thing is hard. I was married right from when I first started work, all my life really. Even 3 years on I'm still not used to or like being on my own but some people seem to love it.

nutcracker · 15/10/2006 10:24

I agree it is hard, i have never been good at being on my own.

I like having my own space etc but hate being the only one who can see to the kids, tidy up and everything else.

I am hoping to at least sort out a trip to the sea life centre for half term, have got one kids go free voucher, just need to see if i can get another and then will only have to pay for me and my mum.

OP posts:
Judy1234 · 15/10/2006 12:06

That sounds a good trip. They'll love it. My eldest daughter has moved back home for 2 years whilst she's studying and I'm glad about that and the other 2 at university come home fairly often too and I think that's much better for the younger ones and also for me just to have other adults around, even if I would sometimes like the house 100% to myself which I don't think ever happens. But even then it's not the same as having a man around.

compo · 15/10/2006 12:12

I missed that he'd gone too. Well done Nutty

nutcracker · 18/10/2006 19:58

Thanks Compo

Am having a shite day today again. Just keep thinking how i so didn't want my life or the kids lives to be like this. I wanted them to be in a happy, secure, loving family which I know they still are with me, but it's just not the same iykwim.

NightHowl · 19/10/2006 03:17

nutty, i havent a clue what's happened now (last i saw you were back together). but just wanted to add my bit of support. it does get better really, its early days. (i know thats not much help right now). just lots of for you. im always a good listener for a rant if you need one, you have my email addy i think.

mamamaaargh · 19/10/2006 05:47

Nutcracker,

I'm feeling the same as you - so sad that my life & Ds's is turning out like this. I always thought we'd be a happy, loving family. I suppose Ds & I are like that, but I wasn't meant to be a single mum . Like you, I get bored & lonely. Then spend far too much time on MN...

Have nothing helpful to say, just wanted you to know you're not on your own. Hope you all enjoy the sealife centre.

nutcracker · 19/10/2006 19:55

Hiya Nighthowl (great name), me and xp split again about 2/3 weeks ago now. I am pleased as it is what I want, just having a few bad days, but like you say I know it will get better eventually.

I had to see xp today because of the kids parents evenings and thankfully that always does well in reminding me why I am doing this, as he was irritating me after 5 minutes LOL.

I feel so tired too, which I find odd, seeing as I always did everything for the kids anyway, so it's not like I am doing anymore.

Mama, it is so hard isn't it, realising that your life isn't going to be how you thought or hoped.
The boredom drives me nuts, but again, I can't quite see why I am bored, because when xp was here, we hardle spoke or anything anyway.

Thanks both for replying, at least I know I can always come here for a moan and a chat

LadyTophamHatt · 19/10/2006 20:11

Nutty, I've got a ton of free child entry for sea life centres here.....do you want one/some?

LadyTophamHatt · 19/10/2006 20:13

I think you added me on MSN the other day, someone did if it wasn't you.....if you want some let me know.

nutcracker · 19/10/2006 20:13

Aww thanks LTH, but I have enough now, begged cashier in Woolies for another one today LOL, thanks loads for the offer though

OP posts:
nutcracker · 19/10/2006 20:14

LOL, yep it was me

OP posts:
LadyTophamHatt · 19/10/2006 20:16

darn it....you've foiled my good deed for the day.

I was going to repent my "miserable, bitch mother for hell" sins of today by handing over half a ton of vouchers
