just to let you know I saw a poster in the local doctors surgery for a bereavement group in Batley. Just thought I'd let you know in case it is something you are interested in. x

One of my best friends lost her partner of 10 yrs to cancer 4 weeks ago, they have had the funeral, he was only 31. Her 3 kids are twins of 8 and ds of 2. She might come on here if she feels up to it but im not sure..
She says she is coping ok but i dont really think so . She says it is getting worse by the day and she fears a life on her own for the rest of her days... it is so hard to see her so sad, she seems dead inside.
So sorry for your loss too, Yorkiegirl.

My dad died suddenly last September and I'm on my own with lovely DS aged 6. I found I just put grief away so that I could carry on and look after DS - very afraid of breaking down. Don't think I have really grieved for dad even now.

Don't know your story YG - who did you lose?

My Dad died Feb this year. Lot of family problems resulting in him meeting DD once (shes nearly 2) and him dying alone in what was once family home. Grief nothing compared to the guilt and sadness at him never being able to have a relationship with me or my daughter. The whole thing just brought home to me what sort of situation i have brought my beautiful girl into and i feel sick when i think about it
Anyway just thought id let you no im here and in a similar situation
