Dp has the morgage in his and his mums name.

He is primary breadwinner, but I need to work to meet the bills each month bu have no legal stake in the house.

he says he is tied into the morgage for two years.

DS would be coming/staying with me.

Would it be possible for me and DS to stay in the house?

Doesn't the fact that you're meeting the bills count as 'financial input?'

Does it matter whether your money is being used to pay the mortgage or the bills?

whether you work or not is imaterial. if you are running the home and living as husband and wife in a house you both share you are contributing to the household and therefore you have a stake in the house.

That is where my knowledge of the subject ends im afraid but i think you wuld stand a good chance of getting at least some of the funds back from the house if you sold it.
as for him leaving and you keeping the house, thats a tricky one.

i think Queen Pea head is a solicitor but not sure which field she practices.
