Back at school...

DD started year 1 today and I feel really sad and crappy that ExH had no idea it was her first day back as he didn't ask when she returned to school :( I am sad my little girl is growing up and I have no one to share that with this evening:(

I think although some of the stuff is hard this is one of the things I find hardest. No one really is as interested in your own child as parents... I often am immesley proud of my DS and never know what to do with the info without boring everyone to death or looking like a super competitive mum.

mine went into year two... only seems like five minutes since since it was dd in year two.

it is odd when they move up.. difficult to explain emotion. hope she had a good day.

Lala I really feel your pain. My ex is just as bad. No contact for years then up he pops. in the past two years hes seen DS 8/9 times.

Don't be alone, or feel you don't have anyone to talk to. Then use mumsnet I'm kinda new but I find mumsnet very supportive

When my husband and I split up, I really felt that. I started a blog and used that to share all the stuff my kids did. 7 years on I still blog and I love to read back and remember some of the mad stuff they did. I have met some great friends that way, some online and some we still meet up in real life. I wish I had known about mumsnet then, I thought it was for people with babies only, how wrong I was. Hope your daughter has a great time at school
