Dcs going away for 2 weeks with their father next week. I can't afford to go away alone or with them. I get pennies from him. Working full time with no time or money for a social life. I now realise I have nothing. So lonely :(

Wilderness - I'm sorry to hear you're so down.

Use this time to make your house lovely, have long soaks and invite friends round to your house for wine/films and dinners etc Maybe look on Groupon to get some cheap eating out deals and suggest to go out for a meal with friend(s)?

Some time without the children around can give you some real perspective on what your life is doing and to give some thought to how you can change it.
