So summer holidays start next week for dd and we have been thinking of things to do when im not in work. Gota few days out planned to the zoo ect and a couple of weekends away. But dd has got it in her head to go camping. Ive never been camping in my oife. Would I be mad to go just me and dd for a few nights !? Is it scary on your own ? dont laugh ive never slept in a tent

Absolutely yes. Do it. Camp for the joy of it. Book and be aware that if it rains you might not go. Buy a 3-man double skin pop up tent. Go to the seaside. I did it for years with my two (from when ED was 5 and YD was a tiny baby). Get disposable barbecue and eat bacon butties: toast marshmallows. Laugh. Once she's asleep sit in the car and read before cuddling beside her. Best holidays ever!
