The irony of being called 'selfish'

By Ex and OW because they are cancelling contact this weekend because 'their' offspring is ill and I've told them they need to sort out childcare for my kids because I'm working.

OW is apparently incapable of looking after a snotty kid or her own.

The irony of course is that 'I'm' the selfish one.

Ex and OW wont have "our" two this weekend cos "her" three have stubbed their toes or something and they cant cope. Never mind all the plans my DCs have and the cards they've made for that waste of space excuse for a father. Never mind my plan of a magical night to myself oh no, I'm selfish to expose "our" two and I should be more considerate of others.

Yeah it's still gutting for them though as they know why and it reinforces their insecurities about being secind best. We've had a lovely fathers day though
