Single parent house share in Bristol?

Hi,

I'm new to mumsnet, however have lurked for quite a while.

I need to find a new place to live for me and my 2 and 1/2 year DD. Unfortunately I am not working at the moment meaning that being on housing benefit, I am finding it really, really difficult to find anywhere that will accept us Sad

I was wondering if anyone in Bristol has 1 or 2 rooms they would be willing to let us move into? Or perhaps even a house or flat that you would be willing to rent to someone on HB?

I am studying towards a degree part time and am looking for work. My daughter is a cheeky little monkey but she is very lovely and well behaved!

good luck - I think its a really good idea to try to pool resources. I think there is even a web site for single parents looking to house share? But can't remember details. I think it is getting more popular - makes a lot of sense.

Hi everyone,

I see this post is two years old but I'm now looking into sharing with another single parent in Bristol! How did you find your experience... and is anyone interested in sharing still!?

Thanks,

Katie
