Single parent house share in Bristol?

Hi,

I'm new to mumsnet, however have lurked for quite a while.

I need to find a new place to live for me and my 2 and 1/2 year DD. Unfortunately I am not working at the moment meaning that being on housing benefit, I am finding it really, really difficult to find anywhere that will accept us

I was wondering if anyone in Bristol has 1 or 2 rooms they would be willing to let us move into? Or perhaps even a house or flat that you would be willing to rent to someone on HB?

I am studying towards a degree part time and am looking for work. My daughter is a cheeky little monkey but she is very lovely and well behaved!

good luck - I think its a really good idea to try to pool resources. I think there is even a web site for single parents looking to house share? But can't remember details. I think it is getting more popular - makes a lot of sense.

Did you find a solution? I am also looking for house share in Bristol with another Mum. In similar situation to you and it is tough. Would be much easier to share a place.
