Holiday abroad

Has anyone taken kids abroad by themselves? Any advice on best places to go? Will be taking 3yr old and 17yr old

I took dd then aged 3 to the Dominican Republic (dreams punta Cana) on my own. Had a lovely time, made friends with a variety of other people Smile
There was a kids club but she didn't want to stay with out me

Thanks Mistletoe I will have a look, 17yr wont mind so long as she got a book to read and the fact she can say she finally been abroad.
