It's Friday! Wine and chocolate here, hectic day tomorrow with football practice, birthday present shopping for DDs best mate, baking for fund raiser at school and hopefully booking our holidays.

Hope you've all got a great weekend planned Smile

Cheers!!! Wine open here (enjoying last couple of days before I go teetotal for a few weeks for low carb diet).

Finished today's running about doing lifts, hockey run in the morning then preparing for one of dc's birthday party later Smile

Feet up and relaxing after a hectic week Wine

Monetbyhimself · 17/01/2014 20:41

I've done the low carb diet for this year Wink

Happy Friday! Wine is open here as well and I'm eagerly awaiting celeb big brother at 9.

Tomorrow ds is staying at his dads, so I'm going to the woods to hula hoop and in the evening ... I've got a date! It's only the second date so am equally excited and nervous!

Tomorrow morning however will be a flurry of Lego, painting, glue and bubble mixture soaking the whole living room, can't wait!

thingsgonnachange · 17/01/2014 20:55

Monet, did you lose any weight Grin

It's the only diet seems to work for me but it is grim for the first few days (wine and sugar withdrawal...nightmare!)

Baltipie, a date...yayyy!!! I can't imagine getting to the dating again stage (in divorce proceedings at the moment) so it's reassuring to hear dating stories Smile

Monetbyhimself · 17/01/2014 20:56

Oh Balti we need more details than that!!! Where are you going ? What are you wearing? How hot is he ????

OP posts:
thingsgonnachange · 17/01/2014 20:57

Yeah tell us more!!!!!

Monetbyhimself · 17/01/2014 21:06

Weight loss ? Erm not really Grin

Sorry for the late reply I didn't realise I hadn't killed the thread :) I was lurking on the CBB thread!

He seems lovely, we are going to see a stand up comedian and then dinner.. Going to wear favourite yet perfect dress and may even attempt heels!

It's been a v long time since any hint of romance, and I honestly feel like I don't know what I'm doing!

I have a track record of attracting wierdos so am trying so hard not to expect the worst :)

My ideal night- at home on my own apart from ds in bed, with a takeaway and wine and good telly. Socialising with someone else , even if they are gorgeous and we have lots in common - terrifying! Help!

Monetbyhimself · 18/01/2014 11:36

Oh living vicariously through you Smile

How gorgeous are we talking ??? Do uou have BUTTERFLIES ? Grin

Hope you have a great date, Balti, he sounds lovely Smile

Think I'll be doing the wine and takeaways for some time to come so I'm v envious Grin

How did you meet him (clueless as to how I will ever meet anyone else as I work in all female office and don't know any available men, plus too scared at the moment to even contemplate online dating!!)

BaltiPie · 18/01/2014 18:02

Aaaargh we are meeting in half an hour! Not used to dressing up, feel like a dogs dinner!

He is gorgeous to me- lovely blue kind eyes, good looking, great body and similar sense of humour!

I'm nearly 40 so it's a bit wierd feeling like a teenager again :)

We met online- online dating can be utterly soul destroying and it nearly put me off for life. If this doesn't work out I'm going back to being happily single Smile

It's doesn't feel like butterflies so much as just happy and excited , am grinning like a loonGrin

What's everyone doing tonight?

Monetbyhimself · 18/01/2014 19:27

Waiting for you to post regular updates is what I'll be doing Grin

Have a lovely time. It's great to get dressed up once in a while!

I'm home! It was ace! He's really lovely. We had lots to talk about and lots in common!

There is going to be a next date ok Friday!

He saw me home in the taxi but I didn't invite him in because I don't want to rush things (it never ends well for me!) we kissed goodnight and cuddled while waiting for taxi in the cold though Smile

Sorry for the overuse of exclamation marks but am a bit overexcited Smile

Monetbyhimself · 19/01/2014 10:45

Ahhh lovely Smile

Glad it went well. What have you planned for Friday. ?

OP posts:
BaltiPie · 19/01/2014 22:21

I don't know yet, he has to leave for work ridiculously early Saturday so it won't be late one, but we didn't want to wait until the week after Smile

How was your weekend? Did you book your holiday? I wish I was holiday booking!

Monetbyhimself · 19/01/2014 22:33

I'm indecisive about holidays. Drive meself mad!

thingsgonnachange · 20/01/2014 16:51

Balti, so glad to hear your date went well and a second one planned Smile Yayy!!!!

BaltiPie · 20/01/2014 23:05

Thanks things! Am excited already!

Where are you thinking of going monet? I love looking for a holiday almost as much as going!

I don't think we can go away this year but instead I'm hoping to take ds to a family friendly festival like camp bestival or shambala, or the big chill instead.
