my daughter is calling my boyfriend dad

I have a 3 year old, I've been with my partner 6 months and my little girl has started calling him dad. I don't know why, I've never encouraged it its just randomly started happening and I'm not sure what to do do. My daughter has never seen her real father and and after a previous 2 year relationship going horribly wrong I don't want my daughter to get comfortable with calling him dad then us breaking up. Although this relationship is completely different to the the last one! We get on so well but ill always have doubts after what happened last time. Help!

I think I would say to your dd that this isn't 'daddy' its 'whatever his name is'

My dd has never seen her real dad and went through a phase at a similar age of calling my friends partners 'dad' I felt sad about it but told her not to call them dad as they're not!!

When did you introduce your dd to him? I'm wondering if it was a bit soon.

Yea I have been correcting my lg, but I just get really sad when she does it I feel bad because she doesn't have a real father figure. I introduced him to her after 3 months and he's amazing with her, but obviously he isn't her dad so should I just correct her? We don't make a big deal out of it but she keeps doing it.
