Oh wait, hang on, I'm a lone parent with an ex who does what he likes!!

I have felt like you feel, although now its saturday nights in that get my goat.

Suggestions?

Go out for dinner with the dc after school,
Invite friends round for a few drinks when dc will be asleep, or if they have dc they can all play in the living room while the adults drink wine in the kitchen,
make friday night takeaway and film night
always have a friday night treat, bottle of wine, box of chocolates ect

Thanks for reply. DS is 2.9 and in bed by 7.30. Just gets a bit boring in the evenings, wine helps though luckily I have a very good sleeper who gets up at 8ish.
Only 1 month in and no plans this weekend, will make sure I have stuff to do next weekend.

If it's any consolation I never went out at the weekend when I was married either! XH was either working or had his nose in the laptop. At least now I can choose what to watch on the tv and I fed my DCs cereal and hot dogs for tea as I couldn't be arsed to cook. There are lots of good things about being a LP!

There are many good things, seeing that more and more each day feel to have bonded with my little boy so much more since his dad left.
Just takes some getting used to I suppose.

Oh I also love having a really hot bath and getting into a freshly changed bed early with my laptop and tv on or a really god book. Doesn't sound very exciting but an early night is a treat for me.
