So I currently work part time which can be anything from 10 hours to 30 hours each week. I have a 6 yr old autistic son who I am finding is not doing well with me working (I am a lone parent). If I was to hand in my notice would I be able to go back on income support till I can find another job that really suits? I was on income support before even after he turned 5 due to his autism. Or would I not be able to get anything?

Thanks for any info!

It would be JSA unless you can be classified as a Carer and you may not get that immediately as you have left voluntarily. They may also out pressure on you to accept interviews and jobs that may not "really suit"
