So my ex hasn't paid maintenacne since I left 5 years ago, gave up his job and now works in a garage doing MOT car repairs but because he is not 'Employed or registered as self employed CSA will do nothing as basically he is working for cash.

I have given CSA lots of proof, details of work place, company car details he drives, photo evidence etc and still they will do nothing!

As he is a mot tester I am currently contacting VOSA, as all mot testers are registered by law and needs to be on a registrar to carry out mots.

Once I have this info would it be worth contacting my MP for help? Not only is he not paying me but he is not paying income tax and the garage he works for are employing him illegally!

I'm fed up now with getting nothing (expect shit from his new wife) when he rubs the fact that he is minted and works and I can do nothing about it in my face

No experience but sure it can't do you any harm

Yes and it worked they have a special team that deal with you , fortunately for me my mp is Vincent cable I only have to mention his name I didn't even go and se him and they pulled their finger out big time.

Why doesn't he pay the £5 that people on IS are expected to pay, if he has "no income"?

Snapespeare · 04/11/2013 19:18

I contacted local mp over tax credit over-payment and everything moved very quickly afterwards, although regrettably not in my favour.

I have contacted local councillors over issues regarding school placements and inability to get on with diagnosis for Ds1 who has suspected aspergers and is a school- refuser. On both occasions, the wheels of bureaucracy have started to turn a damn sight quicker...

...and as a civil servant, we move heaven and earth for MPs enquiries.

So, yes. Do it.

Sorry that sounded a bit accusatory but I am genuinely interested in what the CSA have told you. He must have had some income for the last 5 years?

Mumof3girlys · 07/11/2013 22:13

For the first 3 years he claimed benefits so yes I got the odd £5 a week but he was always on and off (didn't sign on some weeks) so it was hit and miss since then he just tells then he has no income and they take his word for it!
