im due to pop with no.4 next month.

its been a good 4 1/2 years since i had a baby and obvs things have changed alot since, what with the govt cuts, changes of laws/procedures etc.

once ive registered baby, what next? i gather i would have to notify the council obvs about the new tenent... but what else?

i get dla and carers allowance for my son. so do ineed to tell dwp too? and do i bother notifying hmrc/child benefit. (i presume some of these have been cut and capped)

sorry if im being thick but im now used to school uniforms, SENco meetings and head lice nowadays ive forgotten the 'baby routine' lol Blush

A new baby won't affect your sons DLA
Child benefit is not available if one person inthe household earns more than £50,000 I think.
But I'm no expert.
Congratulations.

Apply to DWP for income Support if you're not working.
Carers will be affected by IS but they will sort it out and it's still worth doing. DLA won't be interested. Tax credits and child benefit need informing. If you can claim IS you can also get Healthy Start vouchers.
