It's so rare to read an article like that...yet there are so many of us.

Jk Rowling is the reason my brother learned to read (aged 21) and now she's giving me strength in a very different way.

I am quite shocked at how much that article has affected me.

I mean her eyes are amazing, Protectivemother, I wonder if they are real or contacts? Looks a bit magical to me.

The last line of that brought a tear to my eye, her daughter saying that she didn't know that they were poor, she just remembers being happy. I remember the exact same from my childhood, and I so hope my son remembers the same from his, or at least that I'm able to dig us out of this hole before he can. She's an inspiration.

Great example of the amount of good that single parents do. I must admit I am also proud of being a single mother and having happy children. It is a great achievement. We should all be proud of ourselves and remember if you are happy and satisfied there is a good chance your kids will be.

Why the arseyness over someone questioning her eye colour? ffs it wasn't a judgement.
