I am recently seperated. 3 dc under 6

I really want to go away next year and have found a lovely family hotel in Tenerife that I could afford however is it stupid and dangerous to go to another country just myself and dc?

Lots of single parents take their young children on holiday.

Go and have a great time.(You're going to Tenerife, not sailing them down the Amazon on an inflatable banana!)

No. I did it as a LP with DS from him being about 4 years old.

However, I only had the one :)

Somewhere like Tenerife will be totally fine -especially if it is a family orientated hotel.

Anyone else been abroad alone with three or more dc?

I wouldn't say it's stupid or dangerous - the thing I would be worried about would be looking after 3 kids that young on my own in another country.

I'm recently separated too and my 3 are a similar age - 2, 4 and 6 yrs old. Our plans for a holiday next year involve camping with friends! We've been a few times as a family and once with friends and the kids love it. Plus it's company for me too.

Could you go with friends to make it a bit easier? Obviously if you're happy to go alone, then go. The kids will have a great time :)

Yep - it was amazing Smile I did lots of research, chose a hotel in a small resort, did half board so that we weren't out looking for restaurants in the evenings. My kids are old enough to deal with airport check in etc with no hassle. We had a fantastic time. Absolutely recommend it - it beats being on holiday with a grumpy Ex any day Wink
