what is the proper way to look for friends

Have been a bit lost recently
Many different things happened in my life

I do understand it can be very difficult to find friends but is still worth trying

I am a bit complicated myself but Im good friendly person full of respect to others even if they do have different view
on life
what are the chances that there are some people in similar situation

And finally haw you can actually recognise the real nice people

I'd like to think I'm like you but I'm sorry but I wish I knew how to find friends.

I'm complicated myself but pretty much take people as the come. I'm sure there are lots of people similar but being easy going it seems hard to find genuine friends especially as I've been a people pleaser in the past. seem to attract people who are users.

I'm not sure how you can recognise the really nice people but if you find out please let me know.

I am very similar too. Friends I think (and I'm learning too) are the people who help you. The people who say positive things to you. The people who support you. The people who are there for you at difficult times and/or to celebrate with you. The people who listen to you and validate you. For me, these are my friends.

And of course you would anything to be able to do the same for them

Some time ago I heard somebody said

Bit childish I know

But hey I met a really nice person today
And just regret I didnt said that to her hope she knows
And maybe just tell her next time I would see her
However I wasnt buying compost this time

The day went really fast today so didnt really
have time to look for friends today but there should be allways
tomorrow

And got a bit panicky today
Looks like Ill have see the
"funny name called guy" and dont even know if I would like it

I could allways make a sweet lie but no I do know
I need to see him well hopefully its guy cos I dont think I would be able to chat to woman about
bla bla bla still in five months time so long enough to get use to the idea

And I even liked her a while ago
But oh just a luck I ve got some experience to stay calm

Snoopy, that is a good definition. I recently cut somebody from my life (not a friend, only a person I knew) but he seemed to assess my life and attribute quite negative interpretations to all my choices whilst simultaneously believing that we were friends and that I was enjoying these draining discussions. It was exasperating and I foolishly defended my decisions to him. He was a 'jokey' and talkative person though. So it took me a while to see it.

Friends think WELL of you!! Friends want you to feel good about yourself!

Oh yes the ones who assess your life and make out like you're making all the wrong decisions! I have plenty of those and am doing a very good job at the moment of AVOIDING THEM ALL AT ALL COSTS. ;-)
