I'm going to ex-bil's wedding tonight!
Have to see all xh's family and meet the gf!
Don't want to go (especially as I could have gone to a gig tonight ) but have to pick up kids.

Good luck, sounds like my idea of hell. I've got a feeling my kids will come back and announce they have met the new girlfriend. I can't get my head around it, I feel very out of touch and just can't bring myself to be mature about it.

They only met her last week, she wasn't supposed to be going but someone was ill and she got their place.

One good thing, she hasn't met his family before and they still fuss round me!

I guess that will make it easier for you then. My exp's family don't speak to me anymore, probably a good thing.

Let me know how you kids feel about the new gf, I'd be interested to hear.

Well I survived(only stayed about 1 1/2 hours)Spent most of it talking to xhs cousin &family.Kids pounced on me when I arrived and ignored xh .
Didn't get to meet the gf but did see her xh kept leaving her places whilst he talked to others .
Kids and the gf-she gave them sweets when they met last week and it would have been fine but dd1 is very sensitive about me/divorce etc at the moment and it has caused lots of tears.Problem is more how xh did it ratherthan her I think.

Glad it wasn't too stressful for you. My dd is talking to me on msn at the mo, apparently they are going to the beach with the new girlfriend tomorrow. I feel quite sick about it.

I know, that is it exactly. I hate the thought of them doing the family thing with my kids, particularly as he never did that when I was with him.

Hi all, Ky here - am new to this, am a single parent have 3 kids (aged Boy10, girl6 and boy 3mos) was wondering if anyone out there would like to hook up and chat with a view to maybe having days out with kids - it's logistical nitemare taking them out on yr own also can't watch the all the time so a bit hazardous! I live in north east london, but I do drive and we have good local transport here - hopefully hear from someone soon Thanks x

Rickman- I've been single for nearly 5 years

You know what bugs me the most-someone actually fancied him!At least when I met him he was fairly well kpet lately he has been growing heis hair and it looks like a bush, very scruffy clothes and a huge rucksack that makes him look like a tramp
