Oh God Oh God Oh God

I have just sent my dds fathers girlfriend a message on facebook. My dd has never met her father and he has never wanted contact but I just saw a picture of him on her profile pic and something snapped.

Am really hoping it was the right thing to do, I didn't say much just that I was trying to contact him and the door is still open should he want to make contact. I don't even know if she knows about dd.

Am sat here now freaking out and shaking.

that sounds fine. just let him reply if he wants. no point regetting it now until you know how it turns out... and even so, well, you have tried for dd's sake.

Thanks have calmed down a little bit now, that is sort of how I feel - at least I have tried. I blame watching long lost families Grin

Think the msg went into other folder anyway so she probably won't even see it for about 5 years!!

I hope she knew about your DD, bit of a shocking way to find out if not.

(She should know about her of course).

I tried to contact him via fb about 3 years ago, sent him a short message, nothing heavy just saying the door is open should he want contact. The result was he ignored me and blocked me. I had seen the name of his girlfriend by then though....

Have no idea if she knows about dd, if I had to guess I would say not Sad

You did the right thing. She has the right to know that she's with a total loser who has abandoned his child in the most callous way.

I hope it will be o.kay, we will see I guess...
