Feeling really lonely atm

I used to feel it a lot, but thankfully it is quite rare now.

Think it must be a combination of the time of year, being broke, so not being able to go anywhere, and having a lot on with the kids atm.

I would just love some time with another adult, where I feel relaxed and don't have to worry about anything else for a few hours.

My mum will be coming over tomorrow night, which is lovely but usually causes some stress of its own.

Nutty Sad I understand. I used to see you a lot on here in the old days (it's FA) and I'm sure we talked a fair bit.

Sorry you're feeling so down. Not sure if I can be of use but just wanted to say, I understand how you feel x

SPsFanjoIsAsComfyAsAOnesie · 01/02/2013 19:10

I feel the same too Nut Its not often I get to speak to anyone.

Not much useful help from me but wanted to let you know aren't the only one and I understand too.

Where shouts are you?

Me too Sad

I think we all need some sunshine. At least then we can all be out and about more amongst people rather than sitting at home on our own. January is a horrible month.

chancer · 01/02/2013 19:17

I understand too. The kids are away all weekend (which in a way I know I am lucky I get some time), but all my friends are busy I am just counting down the hours till bedtime tonight & will probably do the same tomorrow!

ConfuzzledMummy · 01/02/2013 19:19

I know how you feel, I've been with my nan all afternoon but its nice to have someone with here at night when my dd has gone to bed. I cant wait until we have some nice weather and can start having bbqs Smile

TheOriginalNutcracker · 01/02/2013 19:21

Hi FA, how are you ???

My 15yr old has got a way better social life than me lol.

It doesn't help that I don't really have any friends, well I do, but they are what my mum calls fair weather friends, who only want me when I can do something or them.

I'm in Brum, Sutton Coldfield

Don't get me wrong, I am way happier than I was. We moved last year and that made a huge difference to my stress levels, and I love my independance, but every now and again lonely smacks me in the face lol.

I'm alright pet Smile

thought I had seen you around again, did you leave for a bit or was I just being unobservant?

It's odd that when we first talked your 15yo was probably 9, and my 9yo was 3...Shock how it all flies by.

TheOriginalNutcracker · 01/02/2013 19:28

I didn't leave as such, just didn't post as much. It's not the same as it was when I joined, and I spose now my kids are older, I don't need it as much.

It is shocking how quick the time flies I know. My youngest is now 10, my baby lol. He was 9mths old when i joined MN lol.

Wow...I've only been here 6 years Smile! I know what you mean, it has changed - quite a lot - but I just had ds3 so need it again, more than I thought I would.

You're on the teen bit then? I am trying not to think about that yet Grin

TheOriginalNutcracker · 01/02/2013 19:40

Aww congrats on ds3 Smile

Yes I am firmly in teen land lol. They have their moments, but in general they are really good kids. Both girls are doing really well at school, and are lovely, bright, caring and hilarious lol.

Ds still has a few issues, but we're working on them.

Oh you have done well then. They sound great Smile

On another issue I have the same problem with my mother - she's someone I try to be close to, and confide in a lot but then she gets one of her weird moods and I feel like it's all gone a bit wrong.

Mums are like that I think..

TheOriginalNutcracker · 01/02/2013 19:49

Oh yes, i think we have the same mum lol.

Mine has said some awful things to me i the last year or so, and I am still happy to have her around but the closeness has gone for me.

That sounds really upsetting. Sorry. Yes mine does that - in fact she has some MH issues that sort of went away for ages but now have returned with a vengeance, it means I can't always trust her - she puts her illness/obsession first at times, doesn't know where the boundaries lie, etc.

It makes me so sad that they are getting old - and also, not infallible. Silly isn't it - you'd think I'd know that by now!

TheOriginalNutcracker · 01/02/2013 20:24

Not silly at all Smile
