What a great idea but does make me feel a little like billy no mates!

I have to say though the idea of holidays alone wiht three kids is a bit of a downer. This year I am not going (no child support, no maintenance) just seeing friends around the UK whihc will be nice but next year who knows.

That sounds a great idea! This year i've already arranged to take them to the isle of wight but another year (and if I sort out my finances!) i'd certainly look in to it.

glitterfairy - see what you mean, can just picture all the sp's sitting together in the corner making derogatory (sp?) remarks about all the poor bored marrieds who have ran out of stuff to say.
i am skint however so i'll not be joining them this year. did have an old VW and took to camping with my lot tho which was all good fun.

was thinking of I O W, but again will have to go with someone (all my friends still married) maybe u could let me know how u got on? was it restfull? and where did u go/stay? tnx ky ( bit abt married looking bored/nothing to say - does have some truth!)

I find the same trouble (friends being married etc), you might be surprised tho! Janh came away with myself and my kids last year , great company she was too.
