Someone tell me how irrational I am!!

Exp revealed that he had a girlfriend a few weeks ago and it seems to me, that he is turning into the perfect partner. Whilst I don't care that he has someone new, is it irrational that I feel peeved that he can help her out so much and be considerate when he was a complete git to me?

There are little things that I have heard about but they are grating on me.

rickman - he probably will be the perfect partner to start off with. Didn't you think he was perfect when you first met him?

Trust me, people don't change, and once the new relationship is more established he will show his true colours. Feel sorry for the new girlfriend.

I don't think it's irrational at all, but like Cod said, it's early days, give it a few weeks or whatever and he will slip into more comfortable arsehole ways and you'll be feeling smug that she has to put up with him and you don't Grin

one day a dya before a wedding the bride rang uo in tears

she had founf hte paper work of the old marriage ad thre dicvorce and all the reasons the ex wife gave for leaving him were STILL TRUE

she wanted to call offf he wedding ( they had glass wedding rings fgs ponces) dad advised yes

parents and h advised her not to

guess whta happened

Actually, I think he expected me to go totally mad about it when he told me. I didn't at all, just told him that he should tell the kids and let them get used to the idea before they meet her.

Today most of the kids are at home sick again. Exp took ds1 to school, very unusual him agreeing to do anything to help me out and being around in the morning. Just had a text saying he doesn't think he can collect though as he is going to a funeral and then the wake. Dd tells me it is the girlfriend's nans funeral, I doubt very much if he has ever met her. I'm tempted to send a text back saying that the nan won't notice if he's there or not, but I have resisted so far.

Do you know, I doubt if he would have bothered to attend my funeral when we were together. He certainly couldn't be bothered taking time off when I was in hospital or when the kids were born. I'm such a bitter old hag!! :o

I actually wish Xp would find someone else, but I bet that once he does, I will feel irritated too.

I don't actually care that he has someone else, I don't feel jealous. It is just p1ssing me off that he can act like the perfect bloke now, when I had years of crap.

The kids seem to think the whole thing is great, no loyalty there then :o

Sorry i dissapeared Rickman, I have the cold from hell at the mo.

First time i've been ill and a single parent and i am coping my mostly feeling sorry for myself and screeching at the kids .

Anyway, I know what you mean. I can just imagine Xp being oh so nice to his new lady when he eventually finds one. The way i look at it though is poor them Grin
