Sorry, another whinge about ExP and the CSA

So I am after 8 years of waiting for the CSA to sort out money from ExP as I do not know where he lives therefore have no contact details for him........they award me £16.54 per week to include arrears. So far I have had over 12 weeks £85 when I should have in fact had £198.00.

I am really a newbie at dealing with the CSA so does this mean that I will never see the shortfall or does it go into arrears ?

When he was living with me he had a habit of skiving off work and going to the pub on a Monday....if he still had money in his pocket so I am presuming that he won't get paid if he does that so as my award is worked out on a percentage basis that is why my money is less ?
I am also angry and frustrated that still after 8 years he still isn't paying his way for DD. Makes me wonder if I wouldn't be better off just closing the case and not having the money as it is so irregular

If he worked and was paid for a 4 day week on a regular basis, then I would have thought that that would be taken as his normal average income and CSA contributions worked out on those figures.

Why did it take 8 years?

When I claimed, it took two years for the CSA to process the claim. I put in a formal complaint and it was found that the CSA were at fault and I was paid compensation equal to the payments I had missed out on because of their negligence. If you think they are at fault it might be worth starting a complaint.

I first logged the claim in 2004, Part of the reason that it has taken so long is that
a) I didn't have a contact address or phone for him.
b) He was deliberately working cash in hand so that he wasn't paying any tax or NI contributions in the hope that they couldn't find him.
It was totally out of the blue that I received a letter in May2012 saying what I had been awarded.
It is 10% for me and 15% for his other DD and DS. It is annoying that when he lived with me he was bringing home at least £500 per week but he is obviously not earning that now or else he has found a way to fiddle it all.
