Can I stop my CSA claim and revert to a private arrangement?

Briefly.

Divorced last year and went no contact with xh. I made a claim for maintenance through the CSA who collect at source - for no other reason than I wanted him to know that the marriage was over. We are now on better terms and I want to know if the CSA will allow us to use a consent order for maintenance as part of the divorce settlement, rather than going through them. Anyone know the answer to this?

Thanks.

I did this - just called them up and said we had come to a private arrangement.
They left the file open - so when it all went wrong, they didn't have to reassess him - just began collecting again Smile

Yes of course you can, I did the same but spoke to another organisation called child maintenance options first. They offered me more help than I needed and I did it all online via their online chat service :) meaning I didnt feel the need to explain why I was making the change !!!!
