absent fathers who evade the law

Having tried all the normal routes (solicitors, csa) to get father to maintain contact and pay maintenance have run into a brick wall. Those who wish to evade ther responsibilities seem to do so very easily. As ex works on the street as a musician, decided to take the message out there. I have the right to protest a moral wrong! Won't get me any money, unless I continue to turn up in the street and collect up the takings, but at least I have made my point. Others might enjoy!

Does he pay tax? Surely he doesn't make enough to live on by doing that..... It gets split between the whole band etc?

You'd be amazed what a busker can earn. I know a talented saxophonist that makes £80 an hour during peak commuter times/ Sunday farmer market.

I see someone has asked for the video and pictures (spoilsport!) to be taken down. I hope you don't, you don't need consent from those who appear in them to take pictures in public. It would be an impossibility. Good luck with collecting maintenance.

STIDW · 10/07/2012 01:08

BTW I've given the video thumbs up and I hope other MNetters do likewise to show their support.

I get nothing either. I am in awe of you. Do you mind if I upload it to facebook as I know many others in the same situation

Jellykat · 10/07/2012 17:41

Te he he! I'd never have the balls, refreshing to see something like that, and I hope you got at least enough for a couple of pints out of their takings! [cider]

thanks for all your messages... I won't be taking it down unless justice is served! Absent fathers take heed!
