I am seriously stressed at the moment. Im snapping at the girls, shouting a lot and crying a lot.

I have counselling lined up but that is for something else. That doesnt start for another month.

Any ideas?

sounds like you need a break? do you have any outlets eg any chance of the odd night out even a trip to cinema, also do you have people to talk to if not even just ring samaritans if you need to talk things over.
I'd say also the basics like enough sleep, try to eat as well as possible and gentle exercise all help.

Be really kind to yourself, maybe just explain to your dds if they're old enough that you're just a bit stressed at the mo. If you need a bit of space get it, get ready meals do minimum housework, just make yourself as much of a priority as dds.
Any thing in particular making you stressed?

Sorry to hear what you are going through.
I think the first thing would be to see look at what is making you stressed and what the `triggers' are that make you snap and look at ways at improving these bit by bit.
We all know on here how much is involved when you are a single parent and that being organised is a must to help with stress.
Great points made above esp. about time for you.
Being kind to yourself is a big one - if you find yourself talking badly to yourself - talk nicely to yourself i.e. when you have had a busy day don't dwell on what you haven't done - think about what you have done.
Hope you are feeling ok today?

Whatever your having counselling for maybe the reason for your stress. Whatever if you getting a consellor talk to them about it. You are not limited in the sessions and if the consellor won't talk about it then get another. ...

this is going to sound so weird (i thought the same when i was told about this)
in my final year of uni as a lone parent i saw a councillor who introduced me to these podcasts, which genuinely work! you will need to find the right one for you, as i found that some just werent as effective as others. hope it works for you (and they are free which is always a bonus!)
