Got to tell my ds after school that we're separating......

So worried about it. Feel physically sick.

Plan to settle him back with snack etc, then sit down with him, his sister and dad and tell him that we are not going to live in his house anymore and will soon be moving.

Praying that he will not be too upset..... : (

Ah good luck.
Ive had to do that 3 times when my dc were younger and it was awful but tbh it was worse for me iyswim
They took it in their stride and were ok, they only cried when i cldnt hold the tears back!
If i hadnt of cried they wouldnt of im sure.
I had to do it on my own to as both xh and then xp had buggered off the night before when dc were in bed!!

Hi isitreallythattime,

Totally understand how hard it must be for you and for everyone else. I had to do the same and yes it was hard. However, you might not see this now, but you seem to have a good idea how to handle it all.

Just been through this recently myself and yes it was prob the hardest thing i have ever done and its still hard now. Can i ask why you are moving and not dad ( you dont have to answer if its private).

I keep being told it will get easier and i hope its true.
