Hey, im a new single dad. Well technically im a single and im a dad but because i dont look after my daughter as much as her mum im not labelled a 'single dad'.

I look after my daughter 2-3 days a week and was wondering if there are any things (meetups, online resources) for other dads who are looking after their children during the day. I live in SE15 (Peckham) and right next to the nappy valley of Dulwich but most things i attend are full of women. Ive nothing against women perse but if there was something more geared towards dads and children id be interested to try it out.

sorry I'm no help, but good for you I hope you get some useful replies.

Around here things that are action orientated (gym babes, toddler football etc.) get more Dad input than singing/music/toddler groups etc.

Try posting in Dadsnet too (it's an already existing topic). Also Google dads playgroups in your area, there are 2 or 3 in my local area so hopefully it's similar in yours.

Welcome to Gingerbread! Check out the website for a local group, I believe there's a Dulwich one near you or Waterloo. They're brilliant for meeting other single dads.

At our local childrens centre they run a dads group where dads come along with the kids and do messy/fun stuff with them and there is one in the week and also a monthly one on a saturday morning. Its not aimed at single dads, just aimed at dads who want to do stuff with their kids.
