i received a letter today telling me ds father won't have to pay child maintenance as his still classed as a child himself, his 18 and has a full time job! how is he still classed as a 'child'?! The csa worker has been on ds father case for months he has dodged all calls/text/vists/letters from them i feel they just can't be bothered to chase him so have given the excuse his a 'child' why do they expect an 18 year old mother to be and adult but not the father? what i'm really asking is do i disagree with the decision and how do i go about it?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Are you sure he's 18 ? Hmm

Saying that, the CSA don't have a good track record of getting it right first time, so if you can, send them evidence and request that they reassess their decision Wink

defiantly 18!
evidence of him being 18? i'm not even sure what they would class as being a child?

Is he on your DCs Birth Certificate? Marriage? Can you get a copy of his birth certificate via a relative?
The CSA are notorious for buggering things up making mistakes; getting them corrected can take a while Angry

Does he work as an apprentice? I think he might be classed as a student, if so?

his not on ds birth certificate ( never turned up)! but i believe i could get a copy of his from a family member!:)
he is a 'footballer' in the looses sense of the word for the youth team i have read in the csa information booklet that if they do 12+ of college they don't have to pay, he does i'd say just scratching 12 hours of education a week not at college just at the local football club as far as i'm aware it's not a recognized qualification i now believe this is how the csa are classing him as a 'child' but he gets payed to do this education?
